What types of third-party cookies do we use?

In addition to our own first party cookies, when using our services we also make use of the following third party cookies

  • Security – we use Akismet Anti-spam service to protect our comment fields from spam attacks

  • Analytics – We also use third-party cookies to help with performance. For example, the Google Analytics cookie gives us information such as your journey between pages and whether you have downloaded anything (details of how to opt out of it care below).

Google Analytics

Most modern websites have some kind of web tracking solution for collecting information about visitors to the site, which is largely used by marketing staff to make decisions to improve the site to increase traffic volumes.

Our site uses Google Analytics. We use information collected from site users to help better understand our visitors and to help improve the website experience. We are able to collect information about visitors to our site, such as location and IP address.

We use Goole Analytics to monitor users who visit our website Ultimately, this allows us to provide the service to our customers. The information collected by Google Analytics may be shared with Cannabliss in order to provide a better service to users.

Other organizations may also collect user information on our sites through cookies, tags and pixels. Tags and pixels, also known as web beacons, are similar to cookies but are collected through embedded images.

Akismet

To help protect our site from Spam and further enhance the security of our site, we use a service called Aksimet. Askimet is s world leader in Spam Prevention and helps us keep our site working. The cookies will collect information about visitors who comment on our site in order to help protect against Spam

The information collected typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).
